THE KOÇ SCHOOL

TEDxKoçSchool

Consisting of the initials of “Technology”, “Entertainment” and “Design”, TED is a non-profit organization founded in 1984. TED aims to raise awareness about the problems faced by people around the world and to take firm steps towards a better future. On the other hand, TEDx enables individuals and organizations to organize local events within the framework of the “Ideas Worth Sharing” approach. The “x” in the name TEDx means independently organized events.

The Koç School students started to organize the TEDxKoçSchool event in order to create a platform that draws attention to today’s problems and where experts in their fields can make their voices heard. The TEDxKoçSchool event hosted valuable speakers for four years under the themes of “Defining Change”, “Untitled Heroes”, “Seasons” and “Give Voice”. This year, TEDxKoçSchool will be held online with the theme “Distance”.

With the speeches of this year’s speakers Mert Fırat, Rayka Kumru, Hüsamettin Koçan, Aslı Pasinli, Emrah Aydın and Eda Erdoğmuş covering the theme from six different angles, TEDxKoçSchool will continue to bring new perspectives to its audience as in previous years.
