Ministry of National Education Curriculum

The Koç School, High School implements a four-year program structured in accordance with the Ministry of National Education curriculum and the core principles of the Century of Türkiye Education Model (Maarif Model) The program is delivered in line with the Maarif Model approach, which places holistic student development at its center by emphasizing academic growth as well as critical thinking, values education, social-emotional learning, and overall human development.

Starting in Grade 9, students are systematically prepared for the Higher Education Institutions Placement Exam (YKS). This preparation is concentrated in Grades 11 and 12. From Grade 11 onwards, Science and Mathematics courses are primarily taught in Turkish.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP)

High school students at The Koç School have the opportunity to earn an international baccalaureate diploma in addition to their national diploma.

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) is a two-year educational program. The IB program, which is thoroughly explained to Grade 10 students and their parents, begins in Grade 11. This program, which is highly regarded by the world's best universities, is implemented in 3,421 schools across 157 countries worldwide. Koç School, which has been offering the program to students since 1996, is the first educational institution in Türkiye to implement the IBDP.

The IBDP includes elements specific to this program, as well as a balanced and in-depth study of different disciplines such as Mathematics, Science, Language, and Social Sciences. These elements include Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay, and CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service). The program covers education and cultural studies in the native language and aims to equip students with international thinking skills. The IBDP aims to prepare students for both university life and life in general.

Students develop as individuals through the program's physical, intellectual, emotional, and ethical aspects, as well as through comprehensive evaluations conducted by International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO).

Students who choose the IBDP select six courses from two different levels: High and Standard. These courses include foreign languages, social and natural sciences, mathematics, and art courses. According to the IB Student Profile, the ten ideal qualities of good students include being inquisitive, reflective, possessing communication and self-criticism skills, being able to take risks, knowledgeable, principled, open-minded, sensitive, and balanced. These qualities inspire students and motivate them.

"Extended Essay" project that develops independent learning through research skills.
"Theory of Knowledge" course encourages students to engage in critical analysis by thinking deeply through language, logic, emotion, and perception.
Creativity, Sports, and Community Service (CAS) programs that offer students the opportunity to apply what they have learned outside the classroom environment.
