Guidance and Psychological Counseling

The Guidance and Psychological Counseling Department at The Koç School Middle School adopts the Developmental and Preventive Guidance Model, which is based on the dynamic changes characteristic of adolescence and supports students’ physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being.

The department’s goal is to empower The Koç School students to discover their full potential, improve their psychological resilience, and maintain a holistic sense of well-being. The work carried out in this regard is structured around three core pillars:

Social-Emotional Development

Structured group activities and individual sessions designed to help students build self-awareness, develop effective communication skills, navigate peer relationships healthily, and gain conflict resolution skills are conducted.

Academic Development

Guided by the principle of "learning how to learn", students are academic competencies in time management, goal-setting, and motivation are supported through individual meetings and feedback.

Career Development

Students are encouraged to develop a vision for the future by identifying their interests, talents, and values; they are prepared for high school as globally-minded individuals equipped with skills and capable of keeping pace with technological advancements.

Throughout this journey, each student’s progress, interests, and needs are meticulously monitored through a data-driven perspective. By fostering a cooperation based on trust between the school, the parents, and the student, the goal is to raise responsible individuals who possess strong decision-making skills, respect diversity, and uphold ethical values.
