THE KOÇ SCHOOL

The Koç School and Distance Education

You may access The Koç School’s Approach to Distance Education document via this link.

In The Koç School Distance Education processes, our school administrators, teachers, field specialists, psychologists, pedagogues and technology teams aim to do the following from a scientific, inclusive and holistic perspective;

  • Consider the differentiating needs of the three schools within the K12 integrity (our students’ ages, academic readiness, expectations, attention spans, social and emotional skills etc.),
  • Prioritize our students’ wellbeing and consider our parents’ and teachers’ insights,
  • Continue teaching social and emotional skills, cognitive skills and physical skills to our students even when they are away from the school,
  • Ensure that the students continue learning effectively and bond with the school even if it is from far away,
  • And contribute to the psychosocial support mechanism regarding the process we are experiencing.

In order to implement The Koç School Approach to Distance Education and with the purpose of being ready for uncertainties in the past academic year, Digital Transformation Project has been conducted to ensure that our school’s education quality is transferred to online platforms within the K12 integrity.

The main purpose of the Digital Transformation Project is to be prepared for the education circumstances brought by processes such as the pandemic etc. and to maintain the quality of our students’ learning experience during the distance education process and make this a standard of The Koç School.

You may access the implemented projects and practices related to Distance Education in the past academic year in the final edition of our VOICE magazine.

In order to be ready for school and learning in the 2021-2022 academic year, the preparations we completed with the Digital Transformation Project will continue to be updated and implemented according to the requirements and needs the pandemic brings.
