English classes consist of a literature-based program that focuses on helping students develop their academic potential and improve their fluency in reading, speaking, listening, and writing. This program uses clearly defined and communicated academic standards, grounded in a rigorous process of assessment and feedback, to ensure equal access and participation in the curriculum, while also creating opportunities for independent learning.  In this way, we support our students in becoming confident, fluent English users capable of overcoming the professional and academic challenges that await them.

In our classes, we aim to help students build confidence in their academic and creative writing skills, oral presentation abilities, multidisciplinary English listening and reading proficiency, and the achievement of a wide range of academic and personal goals.Therefore, teaching and learning not only focus on collaboration skills, creativity, contemporary media and information studies, but also emphasize the importance of close reading, open-mindedness, personal reasoning, and insight. In addition, the inclusion of contemporary non-fiction texts and genres allows students to explore global issues and better understand their significance, while also developing their individual digital media literacy.
