Philosophy, Religious Studies and Ethics

The Turkish Ministry of Education (MEB) curricula are implemented, and the courses are supported by the International Baccalaureate (IB) program outcomes.

Philosophy is a mandatory course in grades 10 and 11 according to the MEB curriculum and in grade 12 according to the IB curriculum.

Religious Culture and Ethics courses are compulsory in grades 9, 10, 11, and 12.

Psychology is offered as an elective in grades 10, 11, and 12, while Sociology, Logic, Democracy, and Human Rights are elective courses available in grades 11 and 12.

To achieve the targeted learning outcomes in all courses, methods such as systematic reading, writing, text comparison, discussion, and analysis and interpretation of visual materials are actively used. Students are encouraged to participate in national and international projects and competitions.

Additionally, to support university exam preparation, test solving, and question analysis aligned with each course curriculum are provided to strengthen students’ academic foundations.
